Empowering Communities, Protecting Children, Eliminating Abuse

At the Foundation for Enlightenment and Elimination of Child Abuse (FEECA), we believe that every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment to grow, dream, and thrive. Founded in 2017 and officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2020, FEECA emerged from a profound commitment to combating child abuse, especially sexual molestation, and creating lasting solutions to this pervasive issue. FEECA collaborates with individuals, the Federal Government of Nigeria, and other stakeholders. Notably, we have received support through the COVID-19 Survival Funds, enabling us to sustain our programs.

Hear Their Stories, Join the Fight

I remember growing up, there was a young man named Okey who lived near my grandmother's shop. One day, he called me into his apartment and started caressing my body while masturbating. Although he didn't penetrate me, that incident made me lose my self-confidence.

While growing up, I was sexually abused several times. One of those occasions was when my cousin, who was a female, visited and was asked by my parents to stay in my room. I went through hell that night; she tried forcing my penis inside her, but I struggled. She overpowered me, and that incident left a scar on my penis to date.

I saw your post on Facebook, but I didn't comment because my family members might see it. I was abused several times by my nanny, and I didn't tell my mom or anyone to date.

Two ladies in our compound sexually abused me. After some time, I told one of them I didn't want that anymore, but she threatened to report me to my mom. I became scared. Thankfully, I entered boarding school and escaped their grip.

My mom would always hire maids to take care of my siblings and me since she wasn't always available due to work. One of the maids would often finger and molest me, especially during bath time and siesta. It's been a long time now, but I'm still healing because it took a toll on my mental health.
